They must complete a radiation technology program, be ARRT registered, hold NM state certification, and maintain BLS certification.
Responsibilities include executing radiologic exams independently, managing imaging systems (PACS, RIS, EMR), triaging exams, and assisting in various departments such as O.R., ICU, and E.D.
They ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked, transport patients, follow dress codes, maintain confidentiality, and communicate professionally.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and exposure to radiation and bodily fluids.
They are expected to pursue ongoing education, attend relevant meetings, and uphold safety, courtesy, effectiveness, and stewardship standards.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
